About Me

Welcome friend, drop your anchor, and take a rest.  Take off your shoes, pull on that comfy hoodie, and grab your favorite blanket.

The beginning of 2014 found me sad, depressed, and hopeless about my future.  Here I am a 28 year old, single, female, with a great teaching job, living in one of the most up and coming cities in America.  What do I have to be sad and depressed about?  Well, life didn’t turn out the way I thought it would. I who am a dreamer and optimist, the cheerful one, was depressed and anxious, that I had failed at life because I wasn’t where I thought I would be.

My dreams have not been realized.

I spent a lot of time thinking about what to do when dreams die. I don’t have the answers, but I know that the solution doesn’t lie inside of myself, but with the ONE who created and planned out my life.  When I drop my anchor with Him, my hopes and dreams begin to shift from mine, to his.

Here on this blog, I promise you will find an open and honest dialogue about what happens when life doesn’t turn out how you expect.  You will find and read stories of encouragement, hope, and confessions of when we try to do it on our own. This is a place for dreams realized and lost, hopes fulfilled and dashed, and a place of encouragement, comfort, and inspiration.

So friend, drop your anchor with Him, and join in the conversation, or just read and be encouraged.
