For a while, it felt like this funky feeling that I couldn’t shake. I could pass it off as “too busy” or just the “winter blues” but it didn’t go away. Ultimately it meant making a change and taking a step of faith toward something new. Even though I knew that this was right move, it wasn’t easy to keep going. And honestly at times I wasn’t sure where I would end up next year! ⁣ ⁣ This summer is one of big changes. Moving, new babies, and travel. And leaving, a job, a work family of 10 years for a new classroom adventure! ⁣ It felt very timely that the group graduating this year was my last group of students at TMS. So thankful for all that I have learned in the last 10 years and the colleagues, families and students I have had the privilege to work with. But also, so excited for the new ones. ⁣ #larissassummerofchange #newthings #hardchoices #stepsoffaith ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣

Tired eyes, but full hearts after a week of #youthcamp with a bunch of teens! So glad, I live a life where I can spend a week care free with some awesome kids and some of my favorite people! Here I am, sitting in a coffeeshop on the first day of my summer break. My hair needs a hair cut, my eyes are tired. I definitely feel a little like I was run over by a bus. I am so thankful for a job that provides me with space to rest. ⁣ ⁣ Summers spent working on passion projects in coffeeshops are necessary to renew my heart and mind. In a season when all things swing from being “fine” to too much so easily, this double full rainbow was reminder on a platter of God’s promise to me. It was a clear word to my heart tonight.
