Unlike many of my other teacher friends and relatives…I still have 2 days with students and 1 teacher workday left this week. However, as I drove to Clay Center on Friday night for a friend’s wedding rehearsal, I felt like is was summer already. Maybe because summer usually is in full swing by now, or because everyone around me was already talking about summer.

This summer is the first summer I don’t have to be searching for something. I get to have a lot of time to spend with family and friends. I get to attend a bunch of weddings with friends. I also get spend a lot of time on me. That seems a little weird because I usually spend a lot of time on me anyways. I haven’t yet had too much time to think about what my summer will look like. But I hope it consists of a lot of reading, sleeping, and spending time with friends. Perhaps I will be more productive this summer than others before.
